Best Travel Luggage (August 2018)

Taking your personal belongings from one country, city or state to another can be a frustrating and annoying process. I have had lots of issues with lost luggage and being over the baggage allowance at airports, due to this I have managed to test tons of different luggage for travelling and have made my list for the best travel luggage below.

Best Travel Luggage

Rockland Luggage 20 Inch and 28 Inch 2 Piece Expandable Spinner Set

The Rockland 2 piece travel set covers all you needs with a 20″ carry on luggage and a 28″ luggage that can be checked in at the airport. Depending on your trip duration and needs, you can choose to take the carry on only, or the full sized luggage with you. If you need a large amount of space, you can take both pieces of luggage.

Hard sided ABS material

The luggage is made from Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene which is a medium strength, yet medium cost material. Providing a perfect balance of being lightweight, whilst still maintaining durability. The material is perfect for luggage and is sure to keep your belongings safe inside. Testing the luggage, I found that it can withstand a lot of stress with weights piled on top, and also being thrown around didn’t cause much if any damage at all to the Rockland luggage.

Both cases weigh very little. The 20″ x 13″ x 9″ smaller case weighs 6lbs and the 28″ x 17″ x 12″ larger case weighs 10lbs. Often times airports impose weight limits on cases, but with the Rockland cases you will have no issues keeping under the limits.

Expandable and spacious interior

The insides of the cases are expandable to open up even more space. Personally I struggled to fill the case fully with both mine and my girlfriends clothes and belongings. Rockland luggage interiorWe went for a 2 week trip to the maldives and the luggage was able to accommodate both of our personal items.

The wheels on the cases are multi directional 360 degrees rotating wheels, so you can easily move in any direction. The wheels are large enough to walk the luggage along some difficult surfaces such as bumpy sidewalks or grass.

My first impression

The luggage set really delivered on everything that was advertised. At first I thought that space may have been an issue, but upon expanding the interior I saw that there was large amounts of space to place all of my belongings.

Another thought that I had was that the lightweight material may be a little too flimsy and there may be cracks or other issues occurring after some use. rockland luggage setWell after using the luggage on a trip through south america, where the airports are notoriously rough with luggage and airport staff disregard any care for your case, it still came out the other end time and time again with no major cracks or breakages.

Manoeuvring the case was very easy and I never had any problems with the weight restrictions on most airlines. The smaller carry on case passed all the checks before checking in and fit into the overhead compartment without any issues.

  • Wide assortment of colors to choose from
  • Made with lightweight ABS material allowing you to avoid airline charges
  • Choose from a smaller carry on case or the larger luggage depending on your trip duration and requirements

  • Some defects
